Question
For all codifications defined in the codification standard, how many dimension calculation categories are needed, and which category does each codification belong to?
Method
Based on the MySQL export requirements for L, H, UnfoldedL, and UnfoldedH, along with whether a DXF is required, we can roughly divide the codifications into the following categories:
| Category | L |
H |
UnfoldedL |
UnfoldedH |
DXF |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1D-Extrusion | Required | ||||
| 1D-Bar | Required | Required | Required | ||
| 2D-Sheet | Required | Required | Required | Required | Required |
| 2D-Misc | Required | Required |

Conclusion
The taxonomy above has been reviewed and accepted as the executable classification baseline for CASE-0001. Within that baseline, FAS identifies the fastener category. When a project object’s type conflicts with its assigned code, the project name is nonconforming and should be corrected at its information source; the conflict is not an exception that changes the taxonomy or justifies a second classifier meaning.
This R&D defines the approved code meanings and their dimension-classification treatment. It does not perform project-level naming-conformity review. The upstream review and correction opportunity identified from the Regeneron observation is recorded separately in OPP-0023.
